About DD YUNG
A Hong Kong based painter, photographer and illustrator; DD uses unrestricted expression as an outlet for her imagination. She turns everyday life in to memories to connect with her subject matter. in the creative process, she considers the complex relationships between objects, their energy and combines with musical influences. Drawing from Cy Twombly’s sense of playfulness and Grayson Perry’s colourful personal life, DD work interprets her surroundings via expressive strokes and energetic colours. DD works with various medium; including wet, dry, and digital. Each picture requires a great deal of personal time and energy, culminating with images crafted to express views of her very own colourful story.
